Troop Meetings

Troop 89 meets Tuesdays at 7:00-8:30pm at the Maya Lin School multi-purpose room (Santa Clara Avenue - between 8th - 9th Streets)


Troop History 

Troop 89, the ecology troop, was chartered in 1964 in the Alameda Council BSA. Over the past fifty five years our troop has served hundreds of boys and awarded over 105 Eagle Awards (Boy Scouting’s highest rank).


Troop Program

Troop 89 is a boy run troop and our program succeeds on the efforts of our youth leadership. The Scouting program emphasizes character building, active citizenship, community service, physical fitness, leadership development and outdoor education. Troop 89 has a strong high adventure based program which includes weekly meetings, monthly campouts, and long term summer camping. Favorite troop activities include camping, backpacking, rock climbing, cycling, rafting and canoeing, snow sports and much more.
